赤尾木城文化伝承館(月窓亭 げっそうてい)
This residence was once the home of Shinno Habu who served as the Head of the Ikenobo Japan General Assembly. It was built by his grandfather Michikiyo in 1795. It became the home of Tanegashima Moritoki, the former Chief of the Island, in 1886 when Shinno left the island. The building became the property of the city in recent years. It has been open to the public since 2010.
