浦田神社
Urada Shrine enshrines white rice. The enshrined deity is Ugayafukiaezu no Mikoto. It is said that Ugayafukiaezu no Mikoto sowed rice plant seeds from above the sowing seed stones of the shrine to the paddy fields below. The legend goes that this was the start of rice cultivation here.
The deity of Homan Shrine that enshrines red rice is Tamayorihime. She is married to Ugayafukiaezu of Urada Shrine to act as a counterpart.
